Modelling face and decorate:

When we add details, we add curvature. The way to solve this is by adjusting the Move Setting in Normal to fit the different directions of the faces.

Around the eye, add detail: Mesh Tool – Insert an edge loop. Here is the recording:

Because I delete the faces inside of the mouth by mistake, I have to build it back. Use Edit Mesh- Merge to connect the different points. Here is the recording:

Repeat the shortcut keys from the previous step in Maya: G.

Use Mesh – Mirror to duplicate the other side. If we use Edit – Duplicate Special, we have to Merge each vertical of two sides.

Make teeth: use Edit Mesh-Bevel-Fraction to adjust the degree of crook.

Make the curve of teeth:

Texturing:

Show the texturing:

I forget the way to map UV. Here is the teaching:

Firstly, select the body, right-click, UV-UV shell. Select wire, use shift and left-click choose the wire, and choose cut or sew. The select UV shell to unfold.

Use Symmetry Object X to be symmetrical on both sides of the body.

When I showed the group the new picture, she thought the rabbit was cuter without its mouth. I thought about it for a while and decided it was the teeth that made the rabbit look uncute. But I took a long time on the teeth. It seems that sometimes spending more time on details cannot bring a good effect, but to pay attention to the overall effect.

Colour the eye:

Colour-Ramp:

We can add colour to it. Use UV-Planar to adjust the position of colour.

The colour is too ugly, not like a noble rabbit, like an old rabbit. I’ll discuss the colour change with my team members.

After our discussion on Saturday, we thought the rabbit was a bit scary. The reason is that the rabbit looks like Uncanny Valley. The panellists agreed that the eyes were too human-like and suggested cute beanie eyes. So I adjust the model to:

Then I tried to add these colours to the rabbit:

But no matter how I adjust the colour, it doesn’t achieve the effect I want. So I drew the storyboard firstly, the plot is the porcelain rabbit falls into the deep sea. And when I consider the colour blending of the whole picture, I realize In the deep sea with dark blue as the background, the rabbit with a white porcelain body is more conspicuous and can catch the eye of the player. So I changed the model back to a body with no clothes, just with a tie.

After discussing with team members, I decided that the camera should not switch too many times between the rabbit’s face and the whole scene. And the team members hope to only make the animation after the sink in water, delete the camera before the sink.

Then consider making ceramic materials:
