Whale 5: Rendering

At first, I just give the whale and sun a simple aistandardsurface. But they have visible reflections and do not look colourful enough.

Then I looked for instructional videos on making glowing materials in MAYA:

However, I found that the material of this sun is too smooth, and it has reflections. It doesn’t look like a sun. It looks like a gym rubber ball. After checking out some instructional videos, I decided to light it up and make it glow.

This is the rendered effect. I feel it looks like a sun now.

Subsequently, because I adjusted the overall duration of the whale’s movement, some parts of the shot needed to be changed accordingly. In some places, the curve of the movement of the lens was too high or too low, resulting in the whale as a subject not being fully displayed in the frame.

Finally, before doing a large batch of renders, I double-checked the sunlight as each lens rotated. After ensuring that everything was correct, I started the sequence rendering.
