Week 2: Unity

  • Export file from Maya:

select the object, File – Export selection – name.fbx

  • Drag the fbx file into Unity.

In the blank of Hierarchy, right-click. Choose Create Empty.

Drag the object in Assets to GameObject. And also the green triangle Take 001. This is the animation of the object. Drage Take oo1 to the cube rotate.

Remember to reset the object. Make the position and rotation to 0.

If we want to change the Scale of more than one object, click GameObject to change. If we only want to change one, change the object itself.

  • Add working windows:

Window-Animation-Animation, Animator.

We can drag these windows to somewhere we like.

If we want to show two animations on one cube one by one. Right-click, Make Transition. Then you can create an arrow from the first animation to the second. You also can make the arrow back, then the animation circulate.

Double click the button, there is an inspector on the right:

There is a Loop.

Once click the button,the inspector on the right is like this:

If we change the speed to a negative number, the direction of the animation will be the opposite.
